Join BOMA WM to learn about the Redevelopment of Belknap Lookout, 6th Street and Canal Park!
Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and Viridis Design Group will share details of multiple projects to create a vibrant waterfront, new hillside park, and other green spaces and amenities in the Monroe North neighborhood area. The presentation is being held at the Embassy Suites, offering a view of the area from one of their rooftop decks.
Trevor Bosworth from Viridis Design Group will present the 6th Street and Canal Park Master Plan, which envisions an accessible and vibrant urban waterfront park that reconnects the Monroe North community and its guests to the riverfront. This will improve river edge resiliency, create a connected network of diverse habitats, celebrate the historical and cultural significance of the area, and build upon the value created when public and private entities work together.
Mark Miller from Downtown Grand Rapids, Inc will share information on The Hill + River Network. The Hill + River Network is a series of ambitious projects that will help strengthen connectivity and enhance livability by creating a hillside park with experiential multi-modal pathways; a reconfigured Division Avenue and adjacent linear park; and the repurposing and transformation of an abandoned rail tunnel into a compelling pedestrian-way.
